Learner Handbook

This handbook has been prepared as a resource to assist learners in understanding their and IQ-AM’s obligations, to assist students to understand the involvement and effort required. Please carefully read through the information contained in this guide.
All learners need to read, understand, be familiar with, and are expected to follow, the policies and procedures outlined in this Handbook.

Complaints and Appeals

IQ-AM is committed to and ensures individuals are treated fairly, ethically and supported in their engagement with us. As well as to meet the requirements of the standards for Registered Training organisations. We encourage all feedback to be given.

IQ-AM is aware of the importance in maintaining the privacy of all individules who have engaged and their records kept by our RTO.

Prior study and work experience

The Institute of Quality Asset Management offer Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer to eligible students enrolled in a national accredited course.

IQ-AM recognises all Australian Quality Framework (AQF) awarded Qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by other Registered Training Organisations, universities or an AQF authorised issuing organisation.

 

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

RPL is defined in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as follows:

Recognition of prior learning is an assessment process that involves assessment of an individual’s relevant prior learning (including formal, informal and non-formal learning) to determine the credit outcomes of an individual application for credit.

To be eligible for an RPL you will need to provide your work history and have available evidence to prove competence to meet the outcomes of the qualification.

Credit Transfer (CT)

CT is defined in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as follows:

Credit transfer is a process that provides students with agreed and consistent credit outcomes for components of a qualification based on identified equivalence in content and learning outcomes between matched qualifications.

To be eligible for a CT you will need to provide your previous learning outcomes of equivalency to that of the qualification being undertaken.

USI

Unique Student Identifier

 If you’re studying nationally recognised training in Australia all individuals are required to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).

You will be able to easily access your training records online in a password protected secure environment.
